Coaching Beginning Soccer is a Moodle course specifically designed with first time coaches in mind. As a parent, who also happened to play soccer in my youth, I found it frustrating to watch my children play for teams where the coaches knew little to nothing about the sport they were coaching. Even worse the organizations they were coaching for provided no training on coaching.

 

This artifact demonstrates ISTE Standard 3.d for Teachers because it contains assignments such as the "Coaching Resource Glossary" which require students to locate useful resources on the subject of coaching, specifically relating to soccer and coaching soccer. This site also models the use of digital tools and resources in the learning environment. 

 

The sections of the course displayed here focus on the resource glossary and provide the general concept for course layout and navigation.
