Artistic Expressions is a website I created to share my art work. This artifact supports ISTE Standard 1.a for Teachers because it models creative and innovative thinking and inventiveness. Most of the art work posted to this site is what I call thought drawings. Thought drawings originate as permanent marker drawings which I then capture electronically, usually with a camera phone, and modify digitally to eventually obtain the effects seen in the final artwork. Color, texture, contrast, are a few of the modifications I make to reinterpret the original drawings. These are simple techniques that have dramatic affects. In addition through the continued creation and maintenance of this blog I have learned how to create website banners as well as buttons and other useful design elements.
